Like Rook, Ish Monroe also tested both his deep and shallow bites today. His best area is relatively shallow, but he's not beating the bank like a lot of other guys.

"The spot I'm fishing is actually a shallow spot, but it's an offshore shallow spot," he said. "I broke off a couple today. I don't know what this spot has on it, but it's weird. It's cutting 50-pound braid on the hookset. It's not a tree, I know that."

He had several competitors in his vicinity today, and that concerns him since he has a later boat draw tomorrow.
